Who makes the best aftermarket seat cover for early (82-84) pickups? post up some pix of yours.

Wet Okole, by far, they are neoprene and fit like a glove, I posted some pictures of my 86 4Runner a few weeks ago, take a look.

How long have you had those, Flash? I've always wanted to get a set, but was never sure how the neoprene would work over time.

Buddy had some of these on his heep seats and they wear ok, his were pretty fadded and worn after 5 or 6 years of steady use. They are not cool, literally, on a hot day. They do not breath at all and on a road trip that we made from TN to WI the sweety arse was pretty common. They are basically wet suit material stitched into a seat cover if you are familiar with those.

FWIW My real sheepskins (get good quality) have worked very well not cheap but cool in summer and warm in winter. I've used them lightly and rotated them often for 10 yrs now..sorry no pictures

I've had them over a year, several of my friends have had sets on their cars for years with no issues. The company stands behind their work, they are made in CA the fit is amazing. Neoprene is very resistant to rips and punctures and is water proof.

Some folks seem to love them(Wet Okoles), but if I lived in a hot climate, I'd want to think twice about rubber seat covers.
I've used these for years in an FJ 60 and my current mini truck with 4Runner buckets. Mine--about ten years and hardly any signs of wear--actually fit way better than the ones in the example photos on the web site.
You can easily remove them and throw 'em in the washer.

That was a concern. I know that neoprene is typically sun-sensitive.

That was my other concern.

Do you have a bench seat? That thing is a torture device.

You should try to get some nice SR5 buckets. I love mine.

has anyone found a more comfortable seat that will fit with minimal effort.

I've currently got Recaro seats from a VW GTI in mine. I like them, but heavier people (I'm 6'-1" and 210#) say that they are too narrow.

Before that, I had a couple of bucket seats from a Subaru Legacy that were a nice upgrade from the original bench seat.

do either of those bolt in to the original holes?

Basically what I did was cut the brackets off the Subaru seat and make a new bracket that fit the Toyota floor pan - just a bent piece of 1-1/2" bar stock that bolted into the stock holes in the floor. Welded that to the bottom frame of the seat.

For the Recaros, they offered brackets for the Toyota for a couple (few?) hundred. Again, I just bent up bar stock to fit the holes in the floor and welded that to the bottom frame of the seats.
