Seat Belt Hardware Stackup Order?

Hi all,

Does anyone know the order the seat belt hardware stacks for the front?

I have lock washers, washers, spacers and rubber grommets strewn all over the floor and I can’t seem to correctly recreate the stackup.

I should have taken a picture of the order originally. I know I know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

That actually does help some. Do you know where the seatbelt bracket lines up in that stack? I have spacers on mine as well.

I ordered a new driver side seatbelt from Toyota parts express, and will get that soon. I will take pictures of the OEM belt with hardware supplied to give the group a baseline of what comes from factory.

The problem is if the stackup is incorrect, the 43ftlb torque locks your belts from rotating at the upper hinge. So stay tuned and I'll find out soon here.

From what I can see I beleive the bracket goes between the two steel washers

great question. i had a similar head scratching moment when i sent my belts off for reconditioning. i also couldn't assume how i took it apart was correct as the prior owner had the interior apart before me

i think i put it back together like those pics show. typically the 2 flat washers sandwich the part you are capturing; should allow it to move.

Here is the correct Hardware stack for front seatbelts:

*Direction of stack= seatbelt cap-->inward*

Top Bolt (43ftlbs):
1) Shorter 14MM Bolt
2) Plastic Washer (white)
3) Seatbelt Plate
4) spacer (shorter)
5) lock washer
6) Flat Washer
7) Toothed lock washer

Bottom bolt (43ftlbs):
1) Longer 14 MM Bolt
2) Plastic Washer (white)
3) Seatbelt plate
4) Spacer (longer)
5) Lockwasher
6) Seatbelt Flange
7) Toothed lock washer
