yep...we've got more tweaks to make on the new server settings, and there is a timeout issue right now...should have it cured today...believe me, I'm getting a few hundred emails on it (db connect issues)

thanks!!

Cool, I'll try not to search until the problem is resolved. That ought to cut the db connect emails down about 50 or so every hour. :D

specifically, it's an issue with advanced search...I get frequently get it to work on attempt 1, but not thereafter...

still researching...this might take a bit tho, tried 20 things already with no luck....

I can get it to search if I do title only but if I try the entire post it goes white.

My own experience: I can get it to search (regular search off the main forum page) as long as there are no spaces. e.g. "landcruiser" has no problems "land cruiser" gives me the blank page.

I know...and thus far, nothing I've done has fixed it...few more things to try, but it's gonna be this weekend before I have time...search works "enuf" for now that other problems are more important.

And this is a part time job? WoW

most searchs work fine for me. I tried "ball and claw" and got results. I even tried "a monkey in a lake" and I got results. Yet when I tried "TBI shopping list" i got blank page. maybe some sort of character limit or something..

yeah, I'm having a hard time finding any consistency...single-word searches never seem to be an issue, and "some" multi-word searches work, but when I search "spring over" I always get the white page...

have a thread started at vBulletin.com, hopefully a magic cure is available...I'm out of ideas.

FIXED!

Well, my initial test shows it working fine...please post up if you continue to have the white-page issues so I can further track the problem...if you can, SPECIFICS are very useful!

It just happened to me a few times when attempting to seach the 40 forum. Both advanced and regular.

Thanks

I need more details please....specifically what words did you search with, etc.

also, you may need to Ctrl-F5 (hard refresh) in the forum to clear cache and be sure you are using the most current files.

Sorry, I don't recall what I was searching for last night.
I just tried another search for "60 rear" (no quotes) in the 40 forum at ~4:10 PM, came up with the blank screen. I tried this several times, through both the search from the forum page and then the advanced page. I did a ctrl-F5 as well. A search on 60rear returned the standard no match string.

I tried earlier this morning for "hard top" from the 40 forum (don't recall the time, sorry), had the same problem. Searching for "hardtop" - no issues, it returned a bunch of results. It looks like the multi-word issue is still a problem. IS anyone else having the problem or am I just smoking crack?

If it makes you feel better I do development on a somewhat buggy app server and have to deal with all sorts of annoying stuff that make no sense. I'm currently working on applying/testing a set of patches to this app, and it's not releasing connections to my oracle db, which is not good. I know how it goes...

Thanks for your time, we all appreciate it.
