Has anyone found a good solution to "clean up" the typical fading / UV damage found on Scepter MFC's?

Picking up two older cans for a good price, changing out the gaskets and straps to new ones, but want to make them look a little bit nicer than they do at this point. Interiors are fine, the outsides are pretty typical IMHO. Any tips or tricks greatly appreciated.

This is a shot in the dark but, I just picked up some awning cleaner for RV,s and used it to clean my kayak and my RV awning. It worked really well on both. The kayak is polyethylene which is what the fuel cans are made of as far as I know. Maybe finish with some armor all?

Thermally excited hydrogen dioxide with a dash of surfactant.

Well I just used Windex and wiped all the nasty off of mine and they look pretty good
