thinking about mounting a scan gauge 2 or 3 in my 80 but I haven’t put much thought into it other than I’d like it. What I’m looking for is ideas on where to mount the unit and where to run the wires. And I’m sure you guys have more than enough examples on what to do or how you’d do it better if you already haven’t modified a panel or trim of some sort. I stayed thinking about this after installing a Redarc brake controller in a customers 200 series and the directions were vague, also the customer wanted the controller mounted in a spot I would have never done if it were mine ( unless I was left handed I guess ). I’m really just looking for inspiration so if you have a solution and can give me a few tips and visual guidance that would be neat.

Mounted my Scanguage 3 on my a-pillar using a delta ram ball attached to the grab handle. Wire goes down the crack between the dash and body and its close the the port.

Granted, this is not an 80 Series, but utilizing the windshield mount works good for me. 😊

I like these style of mounts

I made something very similar to these for my 80 not long after I bought it

It tucks between the dash pad and dash panel with some minor modification to the dash panel.

I'll try to remember to take a Pic
