Hi,

I've been in the KC area for about a year and will be here until May 2021. I have a 1988 FJ62 with a 2H/H55 conversion with round eyes.

I've replaced things, done maintenance, but not made any serious upgrades except for changing out the front and rear seats with those from a Land Rover Discovery (thread).

I also recently finally installed some sound-deadening and the carpet, which has gone a long way to the thing being more civilized again.

Where do people go for day trips or exploring? Can you get out on Forest Service roads or is it just the ORVs and mudding?

hey there. Kansas Rocks, Tuttle creek ORV or SMORR are the main three to check out around here. Ring that sexy beast out to one of our club meetings sometime.

There is a facebook group, Konza that has rides going through local roads off the beaten path. Check them out. Our group has 2 main events coming up in the next months at off road parks, and typically we do another longer trail ride in Arkansas or Oklahoma.
