A friend of mine runs a towing company, so travelling to the paint shop was easy in this state:

As the chassis left I was ready to do the final bracts for my front seats. Pic shows shims in the front end which for me makes a nice seaating position when driving:

Started with the rear end. New rear bumper, hitch beam and brand new tail lights:

The window frame fitted too:

With the exterior ok, it was back to the interior. All inside panels vere treated with penetrating oil. Also checked over all the electric before closing it up:

Holder for the tools etc. on the rear door:

The floor was cleaned and treated with owatrol. No isolation to hold up water, only the original (cleaned up) carpet:

Cleaned and painted screws for the front seats:

Most of the interior back in place. Happy that I did the panels before painting, easier to keep the fresh paint nice!

G'Day Fella's,

Wow! SAW, you have been busy!
Nice work, and well done.

Being in Australia, can I ask "Why do you have so much Rust"?
Is it from salt being used on the road is Winter?

D'oh!

Thx!

@HomerOz Yeah, during winter its like in the ocean on our roads... No more salt for this LJ anymore ;) resting in dry garage between autumn and spring!

Next on the list was sliders, not for sliding rocks but make an easy entrance and of course I like the look!
The man who made my rollcage sent a drawing which I added some measurements to:

Ordered two sets, a friend of mine has the same vehicle and gets the other set.

Made some adjustable supporting trestle (?) for trying different positions. Finally went with this hight and angle.
