SOLD Saudi Split ring rims/wheels. Set of 5 with tires.

These came on a 70 series I bought last year as rollers. All tires hold air and I would drive to work on them no problem. Tires are 33’s and they have camels on them which is cool.

Those are split ring not split wheel. Tire is held on by that ring under pressure. If that ring is not fully seated, it can come off violently during inflation. Requires a cage to change and most shop insurance policies flat out prohibited shops handling them. Landfill won't even take them with tires to on.

the danger isnt in this type of wheel, its in the split rim types.. this type is not bad at all.. as long as you ensure the surface is clean prior to hanging the tire and doing the ring at low air pressure.. there is not much danger at all..

Correct these aren’t true split rims, they’re lock ring wheels.

The safety is the ring is holding pressure, and if it’s not perfectly seated or there’s wear or rust, it can let go hard during inflation. That's the point. Cages are required and most shops won’t touch them because who still has a cage?

Older places that deal with tires for big rigs (semi's). That's where I got my wheels like this mounted with tires when I needed that. No problem at all.
