Matt,

The wife is coming along also so were 2 for the head count. Since you are doing steaks I will bring side dishes, this week is going to be hectic for me. If Ranch hand can bring extra wood I will chip in for the cost of it, I just really don't have room for wood on the FJ. Really looking forward to this trip and the weather is looking like it's going to be great whoo hoo! If you need something else Matt let me know.

Talked to Galen today and they will be headed out to the Swell tomorrow, they are going to try to reserve our spot at Lone Warrior for us. Cross you fingers. There are two good group spots out there so I wouldn't worry to much. My Baltic plywood just got here so off to the cabinet shop to build my storage drawers and chuck box!! Hope I can get it built before the weekend!!

Here is a picture of the Lone Warrior campsite that I could find.

Hey guys,

I can meet at Village Inn in GWS at about 3:40 on Friday, I get off at 3:30. I'm planning on bringing the wife and our two dogs.

How technical are these trails? Just wondering. I might be able to bring some wood also.

Sweet!!

James from the last Cruise and Coffee meet is going to join us with his dog Padington. So mark us down for 1 more FJ Cruiser, 1 more Human and 1 more Dog.

We have a couple friends who may or may not join us in my FJ, if they do we likely won't be able to leave town until 5 on Friday. I'll post up again if we here back from them but otherwise expect to see Mary, James and I at Village Inn at 3:30ish. (I have to run downtown and pick-up Mary so we will probably be 5-10 minutes late as well)

P.S. - Found the Camp Fire grill. If we end up running late Friday and you guys want it for Friday night I can still drop by VI and hand-off the grill. (FYI the grilling surface is 24" x 16" and I also have a grilling basket that is probably 12" x 10" if we have side items that need grilling)

Ryan James is added!

Awesome about the camp fire grill and basket!!

We all can meet at 4pm to make it easier! Google maps says it is 3 1/2 hours to our campsite, so we will be pulling in around 7:30 - 8pm. I might go to Grand Junction early Friday to pick up somethings from Safari Ltd & Sportsman's. If I do, I can catch up with the caravan in GJ if someone can give me a shout on the phone when they are getting close to GJ.

Alpendubber your added to the head count!!

The trails go from smooth gravel road to 3-4 rating at Devils Racetrack-Fix It Pass is what I am finding. I believe we all have rigs that we don't need to worry about trail difficulty. Galen has some good knowledge of the area and is going to come by camp Friday night and Saturday morning to help us in our trail selections and join us on our travels. :steer:

Also read above about GWS crew caravan meet time. Let us know?

Matt

Post up a picture of your rig so we all know who to look for. Also I will be putting a sign( BCC) at the campsite turn off so people can find our campsite.

Mom is right about Veggies! I'am bringing some Corn Whiskey.

:D Good man, I like your train of thought there!

Ok so our possible extra two people will not be joining us so we are good to go on meeting at Village Inn and taking off on Friday afternoon. 3:30 or 4:00 work just fine for us. My preference would be to hit the road as soon as possible.

To eliminate back-tracking your best bet is probably to meet up with us in Green River, UT. We will be stopping there to fuel up before heading on to camp Friday evening. We will probably be arriving in Green River around 7PM-ish. Matt's cell phone number is in a previous post and mine is Nine-Seven-Zero 987 One-Nine-Six-Nine. Whatever gas station is near the off ramp is probably where will we be. I hope you can join us! :steer:

Agree with Ryan, Green River, we will also be on Channel 4 on the CB. The Google map link in the previous post is spot on where are camp will be and it isn't to hard to find if you get to Green River before us.

It would be awesome to have you join us from Phoenix !!!

Matt

P.S. Headed to Costco today so the head count for Steaks is 15. Our little group got big

15 people. Wow.
Looking forward to it. I'm more than half tempted to try to leave on Friday night now........any takers on helping me get camp set up. I may get lucky and the girls will be well asleep by then.

It looks like the group meal is covered, I'll bring beer and firewood.
