math labs said:Some dealerships are always BS'ing us, I would for once like to meet a honest car salesman, better yet, an honest financer.
math labs said:I was also told by the dealer that the key would have to be in the vehicle in order to start it. So why the lojack?
sdtoyotaguy said:Dude, you need to chill out a bit. Don't you have anything better to due than screw around writing pointed letters like an old lady? Its the reality when you want a vehicle like an FJ in its first couple of months to market that dealers are going to try to make some money on them. Ever own a business????
Besides, Kearny Mesa Toyota is a UAG dealership (Penske) which means they don't mark up vehicles with BS "Market pricing" like 9/10ths of all the other Toyota dealers are doing on the FJ (and Prius).
Get a life, and if you find a FJ for sticker without any dealer add-ons let us all know.
Wow they must have thats quite the comute from WA state......richj11 said:I have been by El Cajon, they didn't impress me. Richard @ Frank Toyota in National City was great. Looks like I'll probably go back and see him...
Boston Mangler said:Thats because there are too many guys like sdtoyotaguy who just let them do whatever they want and dont speak up about it.

No objection to the "additional dealer markup." Some will pay the premium to be first on their block....I'm not one of them. Decide to fxxx every KMT buyer for paint coating and lojack, no problem; I'll buy elsewhere. What I object to is the 45 minutes wasted on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the shady, sleazy way the non-negotiable dealer add-ons are sprung at the last minute. If KMT has a problem with me buying my future trucks elsewhere, change the policy. If KMT has a problem with me posting my correspondence, don't give me a reason to write a letter in the first place. With respect to writing pointed letters like an old lady, writing a letter to the owner is how civilized educated people express their opinion and as a business owner, if a client has a problem, I appreciate it when they pick up the phone or write a letter and let me know.......so with all due respect.....get fxxxed.
