1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 4×4 – V8 Swap – *Original Wheels and New Jump Seats Included* -$17,000

This 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is an early-production example finished in white over a classic sky blue interior (with black seats) and powered by a 407ci V8 paired with a 3-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed transfer case. The truck is located in San Diego, California, and is offered with a clean California title, and additional parts.

Drivetrain

The V8 engine sends power to all four wheels through a 3-speed manual gearbox and 2-speed transfer case. A tow package is fitted. The conversion provides increased torque and improved drivability compared with the original inline-six.

Exterior

The body is finished in white paint and retains classic FJ40 styling. Equipment includes a bikini soft top, 2-point roll bar, steel bumpers, 15″ wheels, and 33×12.50-R15 tires.
*The original wheels and tires are also included in the sale.*

Interior

The interior features black bucket seats and a simple, utilitarian dashboard consistent with early FJ40s.
*A new, uninstalled set of rear jump seats from Cruiser Corps are also included.*

Condition

A professional appraisal completed in December 2025 describes the truck as a good, driver-quality example that has remained largely stock aside from the V8 and transmission conversion. The appraisal reflects average cosmetic condition appropriate for an unrestored vintage Land Cruiser.

Additional Details

  • VIN: FJ4035032
  • Odometer shows 58,159 miles
  • Located in San Diego, CA
  • Clean California title
  • Original wheels/tires included
  • New Cruiser Corps jump seats included

Summary

This FJ40 offers an early Land Cruiser with a desirable V8 conversion, open-air configuration, and included original and new OEM-style components. It is suitable for continued use as a classic driver or as a foundation for further restoration.
