I like that. It would be accurate enough for what I want and not have to have a big gauge..

No just down the road haha. We were renting a house here and just bought one. I am excited its a home built in 1900. Probubly has ship wreck parts in it too as much of the houses from about 1780s - 1930s had ship wreck lumber.Oh ..moving off the island?
Yea...heeps are so silly

If you can, I would take the windshield frame off to do this and do it on some padded sawhorses or something. That’s how I’ve done them and find it easier than on vehicle. I usually have my wife help, at least to hold the frame in place or a little push where I need a 3rd hand. I used the rope method with a paracord type material. Seemed a good strength and thickness. I use windex as a lube for frame to seal and seal to glass. It evaporates quickly and I used a lot sprayed on.Maybe some time soon my next quick project is the windsheild gasket. I bought the gasket, lock, and the lock tool from SOR same link I have above in the post. figured it was not too bad of a price for just over 100$. Hopfully I wont break anything... Any tips for installation ? I think my goal is to take my time on it and not rush.
Thanks! I have been busy with moving and the first day of school lately! Unfortunately we didn't take it to closing because we decided to take a pickup to get things to repair the house like kitchen cabinates and such. All the best at closing today.
Still driving the 40 off island to the closing?
Thanks!!! my wife and I officially own a 124 year old home.Congrats on the new digs!!
Thanks!! unfortunutly the move coincided with the first day back to school so my brain has been mush lately. but the home is great!Congrats. Very happy for you.
Windshield. the pad is not too hard I have done that one. I still have not gotten around to replacing the windsheild rubber.Top tip: lay the windshield flat on a level surface use wood battens to hold the glass level with the windshield frame while you do this.
Fantastic pro tip! I am going to tackle this some time soon! I am happy to have gotten the gasket from SOR as I could not find it anywhere else.
Yeah I was trying to avoid taking the windshield frame off but with the soft top now it actually should not be so bad. a few screws I think I will have to drill out though. If you can, I would take the windshield frame off to do this and do it on some padded sawhorses or something. Coming soon!! dont worry!House pictures with the salt wagon??
unfortunately it is a new (when I put the 2f together) non oem unit from cruiser teq but I will try that first although I think I saw a Non reduction one like this that is toyota for 120$ that is new.Having a new starter is good. You can "rebuild" your old one so to speak. The big copper contacts in inside the solenoid get pitted from the arching - you can file them flat or rotate them to a new contact place. You can polish the commutator (crocus cloth on a wide flat file) and then re-establish the clearance undercut between the contacts, new brushes or at least clean the guides/springs.
I like older homes, they have a proven history of survival, unlike new ones that wash off the mountains at the first real rain storm.
Thanks I am pretty happy with the purchase! its nice to have more space for sure.Your house looks amazing. Do you have to go off the island for building materials?
