This is absolutely the best way to fill a gas tank with a jerry can. Just quickly push the metal end into the can repeatedly and the siphon begins. I can empty my two jerry cans from the rear rack. No need to get them out. Great tool.

That's a cool product, thanks for the tip. Nothing worse than siphining the old fashioned way. That mouthful of gas is pretty bad.

We have three of those at the shop. They work great!

IIRC, the 1/2" one won't fit the unleaded opening on the car gas tank.

I am working on a sguigy to remove gas residue from the inside of the hose.....nothing worse then lingering gas vapor in the rig after using the SS. Overall, simple design and easy to use.

Big ziplock baggy for the hose.

The siphon does tend to leave the last bit of gas in the can in my experience, and if it stops siphoning towards the bottom couple of inches in the can, it is hard to get it started again. I like my spouts.

Just hold the siphon part and whirl the hose over your head, works great.

Dan,

Thanks. I was thinking along the lines of something like a paitnball squigy for cleaning the marker, I like your idea better, clean tube and no other tools to carry or clean, etc.....squigy design canned.

Credit where credit is due, 24hrsofnevada showed me that trick at Saline Hot Springs.

I JB-Welded a hose barb onto the inlet end of the safety siphon's check valve. When I put it away I just shove the other end of the hose over the barb. All gas vapors are neatly contained inside. The inside also stays clean.

I do like Dan's method.

.....kinda like a cowboy with a lasso, chicks dig that! :D

not to mention you make a cool sound like the natives in Australia (crocodile dundee movie)
