A new Pub opening up downtown and I didn't even know about it. Shame on Pighead...
So I walked over there after lunch today...talked to Simon, the owner.
Explained the Tuesday situation. He seems nice enough, the pub might be a little fancy for us, it's the kind of place where you can see paying 5 or 6 bucks for a pint...not real big, can't move the tables around, but there's a room for groups. They won't have the seats outside on the sidewalk until springtime.
We could try it out. Capitol Garage is right around the corner if we don't like the pub...

Pighead is ready for something different. The Rubicon kinda pissed Pighead off when they raised the price of the the pints on Tuesdays...and it's always so darned crowded there.
So Pighead sez De Vere's too. If it's not working, we can walk around the corner to The Capitol Garage or Brew-it-up....
Dang, no more $2 pints? De Vere's sounds cool to me, under 21 allowed?

Dylan, I'm bringing Jeff, since otherwise there is no dinner at home (wife has class at AR). He is only 18. If they ask, you can be my other son. As long as we don't sit at the bar, I think it's OK.
Plus, in a weird twist of fate, DeVere's owner is the husband of the teacher of one of the classes my wife is taking. It's a small world for sure.
De Vere's sounds good to me, as long as everyone else is OK with it.
Shall we say 7pm at de Vere's?
