I can do a Sunday run for sure but gotta be back in time to take the kids trick or treating.....

Sat is good as well but I need to be back to set up the haloween stuff at the fire hall.

If we get an Early on time start and stay local.... (Sooke) it'll all be good for me.

With a small group we should be able to get quite far and I bet the water crossings will be a bit more interesting....

Hey man,

Last Sunday was good, I think Dale and I found a very interesting trail. Was -way- more technical than the route we took before. We found it after getting lost, hehehe. I highly suggest you try it. It was a lot of fun. I actually needed my lockers... ending up dragging myself up by the front tires.

Oh my god..... thats discusting. (kinda funny) If it had the tear-drop window spraypainted over it would be even better.

It someone lost a bet one could make them park a van like that outside a Langford school and sit in the drivers seat. Some redneck would give them a good thumping in no time! (I knowI would):hillbilly::hillbilly:
 
Do you guys remember that sign hanging in the trees on the far side of Muir???

It was an old forestry sign up a tree that said something like "road open to public" and had a green circle. It was about thirty years old. Could take a picture of that and show the gate keeper man. LOL:popcorn:

So we got 2 at this point..... Dan-O?? Hector???? 4 is a good number.

Any idea how much of that land is timber west (or whatever company) and where their property stops? Anyone know what the "fine" would be... would you get a criminal record for "trespassing"? :censor:

Haha, yeah what's reaaally funny , is I used to have a scary old dodge van back in the mid 90's.

Painted out windows, kinda ugly, bought it for 500 bucks, and 3 days later drove down to mexico in it :hillbilly:

thing was awesome. Stir around with the column shifter until it lurched in the direction you wanted to go...:lol:


So on the way, I was in Portland trying to find this chicks house and I got lost.

( before the days of GPS for you young fellers.)

Totally by accident I drove through this school/playground area like 4 times while trying to find the freeway onramp again...jeezus I was starting to get some looks...was really glad I finally found the damn highway again...:lol:

from our trip May 8th when Vern and I took a wrong turn - it was my fault - we turned around before we discovered where it came out

From the looks of that sign you guys forgot the shotgun!:hillbilly:

Cam, i'll call you tomorrow... and try to get my truck trail-ready for the weekend--and permission to go-- of course...LOL
 
I doubt you have to worry about a fine or a criminal record. I know lots of people that have been using the area tons since they locked the butler boneyard gate and none have ever been given a ticket. Be nice to the gatekeeper and he will be nice back. Tell him you are with a club and that you will keep an eye out for vandals etc.
