Sorry to hijack this emotional moment, but I need some advice.
My 80 is stock except for sliders and 34" Cooper Discoverer STTs. I have no front or rear bumper. I'm a fairly experienced wheeler, plus I live in the Tahoe area, so this terrain is my home turf. Do you recommend this run for me? I have heard that a rear bumper is a must...
If I decide not to take my own rig, does anyone have any room in their cruisers?
Jason,
With no rear bumper, no t-case skid plate and no sliders you will trash your 80. We took a fairly lifted 80 through Wentworth Springs last week. The driver was top notch. But, he had no protection and as expected he damaged his rocker panels. Keep in mind that the section of the trail we did is considered the milder section of the Rubicon.
Save your money and get protection, it will pay off in the long run.
Regards
Alvaro

Luke, any news on the incoming plans ?
Fellas from France, Keep posting here and on the Pirate Bulletin Board and you are sure to get a ride. If you keep up the messages people will see it. Post some more info on your travel dates. There are multiple runs/groups all staging at different times so it would be most helpful to post up when you are arriving and when you plan on meeting up with a group to ride with.
