Nope... Still nothing. Did everything everyone else did throughout the thread. Its 3 steps, can't be this difficult . Led on dash recognizes pushing button for 3 seconds, but does not recognize the fob. Maybe s*** fob who know, but it was for the 3000.

Yea, looks like a lot going on down there. Got a bunch of cables zip tied up in a ball. Think I might hav even seen a phone cable in there. Fkn rich people......... Prob chalk this one up as a loss unless I feel like pulling the seats and causing the engine to blow up later. Being said, I have a key fob for a Toyota Land Cruiser for sale. Based off average prices for spare parts ill let it go for $800.
PM me if interested.

Lol sounds right

Just did this on two new fobs.

Get a technically sophisticated tool - paper clip; stick it into the hole and hold for two seconds or until the security system light on the dash comes on. While that dash light is on, depress the button on the fob. The system should honk and flash the lights once once as confirmation of the fob programming being accepted.

10 second job.

Sounds like you found the ECU under the driver seat. The way my '94 was oriented, the programming button was on the left side of the ECU, right next to the incoming cable harness.

Hope that helps.
Thanks for the tip, worked perfectly!

Have 96 I bought the rs3000 fob and followed the directions. Key in on position, pushed green button, red light lit up, pushed top fob button, turned key off.. if I hold the button my alarm goes off, if I push it I hear something in my dash area by the steering wheel make a noise but it doesn’t lock or unlock the car? Anyone have any idea I’m stumped and it’s to cold out to be taking the dash apart haha

Old thread I know, but this last post hit home for me. My rs3000 is an official "kit" I bought and installed myself. not sure when it happened, but mine started doing this same thing. doors will lock/unlock with the drivers door control or the key from the drivers door lock. but when trying to "lock/unlock" with the fob, all that happens is the lights flash and most times the chirper sounds. [I also hear a relay clunking as described above].
At first I thought it was the switch dr aftermarket drivers door panel switch assembly being different than the oem switch assembly, but after I finally found my box of crappy oem failing switches and tried one of them, there was no difference.
Searching the interwebs most posts are how this one started, with fob programming questions. I have yet to locate any kind of really helpful troubleshooting information.
