NICE ! What made you decide to angle the shocks rearward ?

Very good thread. Could you post a pic of the driver side shock hoop?

Also would like a detail on the track bar. What is attaching it to the front shackle and what is welded to the end of the bar that carries the threads.

Any issues with rear axle breakage? Stock or Chrome molys?

I know where Barrett is, and would love to go next year! I'll keep the secret, though. Did your 60 fit through the poles?

driver's side shock hoop.

They are a bit rearward to get the most travel without cutting the inner fenderwells.

Thanks for the helpful pics.

VETTE60,

That is one nicely built 60!

Hopefully will get to see it first hand this weekend.:grinpimp:

Most excellent. Do you mind posting a pic of your roof mounted gun rack?

GIT-R-DONE!!!!!
this was actualy in the rig when I bought it.
Cool thing is that it doubles as an "Oh S#!t" handle for the wife. It does come in handy though and is a perfect fit for my Sako .270

Heck yeah! drop in. for any of you guys coming up to Mormon Emigrant for some snow fun, let me know. I am on the way 2 miles before Mormon Emigrant/Iron Mountain

Amazing truck! How have your quick fist clamps been holding up on your roof rack?

they've been good so far. they have about 2 seasons on them and holding well. haven't lost anything.

here's some recent body mods:

-trimmed the front fenders up about 3 inches
kind of a PITA to get the inner wells re-welded, but worth it
-trimmed up the rear quarter pannels and added sliders to the rear bumper
-trimmed up the rocker pannels and welded in sliders
-added louvers to the hood to get the heat out
-painted the contours and hood with truck bed liner

What kind of louvers did you install? Were they from another vehicle (recycled) or special ordered?
Super cool 60 BTW!

Takes alot to make me jelous of another 60. Congrats, you did it! Beautiful rig!!!! And well built!!! Hope to see you pass me at twice the speed climbing hwy 50 or 80 someday.

Bump for another beautiful 60.

Question: The sliders that you have welded to the body, have you used them yet, as in dragged them across boulders? I'm asking because I want to do the same modification but I don't have a gauge for how well they protect the body.
