I did consider that but it didnt fit with my aim for the vehicle in the end.
I understand the desire for tube completely, I've got that covered with my pickup(see pic below).
I've got the itch to do something a bit radical with the sheetmetal on my 80 and had been thinking about a pickup rendition, but hadn't seen it done in sheetmetal to my liking. I love how you used the small side windows to finish it off, looks fantastic!

You are using those 100 pads, cut away, in the 80 calipers? What did you use as a template?
Nice job - appears you are one talented individual. Keep up the great work. When you're done with yours, you can fly to West Coast of Canada and weld up a few things for me - the accommodation would be free!

Sorry that was some mis information there from me, you do NOT have to cut down the 100 series pads for them to fit. NO template required. You only need to remove the shims which gives you a little more width in the caliper.
