Brian -
I've been hoping to see some updates to your posts on this awesome rig!
Looking good!

Thanks to Cruiser Outfiters for the ARB bumper and Comeup winch. I am really happy with how it looks now without all the extra coolers that were in the way and the giant front porch gone.

I got the winch all mounted up, but realized after the fact that I should have clocked the clutch lever around. It is still plenty functional, but not ideal. I am too lazy to pull it out and redo it at this point since it works just fine how it is. @beno, how easy was this to do on your's? Could I do it while it's installed in the bumper? I am also waiting on a 250A fuse block to get it wired up, it should be here on Monday. The fuse will help protect the investment and make extending the positive cable to the far battery terminal near the fire wall much easier.

No more romantic evenings where you and your wife can sit on the "front porch" bumper and watch the sunset.

I started the day off with a coolant flush. I poured two small bottles of CLR into the system and I installed a flush port off of the heater hose. Supposedly it's best to do it on the heater inlet side, but that has already been claimed by the turbo coolant supply. So the heater return was used instead.

I gave it a good drive up I70 towards Idaho springs to get her nice and warmed up. I cranked the heater to get the CLR flushed through the heater core too. Then I took a lunch break and let her cool down while the CLR continued to work on any rust inside the block.

For those that have never done this. This is done with the radiator drain open, the cap off,the heater on and the motor idling. I was concerned about the hose pressure pushing backwards into the heater core and stagnating the flush through the heater core. So I occasionally pinched off the hose to make sure the water would pass in the right direction. Pretty sure this didn't matter, but just to make sure.
