Roof Rack Options

I was reading on their site last night on the options. Could you share your order number so I could just duplicate your order for my truck. That is exactly what I would spec.
There's no order number, I just went back and forth with Tim on the options. Here's what I settled on:

-Full length, large Expo++ bar
-3 plates, 3 towers per side
-2 reverse light tabs and 2 reverse lights (flood)
-Sunroof cutout
-3/4 mesh (everything but the sunroof)
-8 gussets
-Powdercoating
-6 200-series towers (+hardware)
-2 light tabs in front and 40" light bar
-2 light wiring harnesses (one for front, one for rear)
-Fairing

I believe I have the first Gamiviti rack for a 200 series, so if you tell him you want the same options as the 200 series build he did he'll probably know.

Not sure if you have a 200 or an older cruiser, but here are a few notes on my build:
-I had Tim add front facing light bar tabs, so I could mount the light bar in front of the fairing. If you don't intend to mount a light bar I wouldn't opt for that design because you'll have to cut slits in the fairing for the tabs to slide through.
-I don't know if Tim can cut out the center rear-most grid bar, but if that can be omitted you'll want to do that. It doesn't make contact with the antenna on the 200, but it's very very close and it sits right over top. I do notice XM takes longer to lock in a signal if it gets lost driving under an overpass.
-The fairing is a must for wind noise on the 200. The ideal fairing size would be about 1-1.25" longer on the bottom (since the 200 slopes more near the windshield than the 100) and 1.5-2" wider in either side.

It looks perfect.

That does look really good! ^^^

The Gamiviti also seems pretty low pro. I like the gamivit platform a lot more than the baja rack. Any one yet using the baja rack flat utility? Anyone viewed both personally?

I'd be wary of the "low profile" racks if you ever plan on mounting anything on them, especially, a roof top tent. If you can't get your hand under them to access the nuts and bolts, you're going to have a very unpleasant experience.

I have/had a Front Runner on both my 200 and my FJ Cruiser. I even used Front Runner's "tall" tent mounts and it was still a pain. I'd imagine it would be worse with Baja's Utility Rack.

FWIW my Gamiviti is at the lowest setting and while I'd consider it pretty low profile (marginally taller than the factory rack), it clears the rear antenna OK and I was able to get my hands behind the feet under the rack to secure the bolts, though the grid made it a little challenging.

I hadn't thought of that... I guess it depends on how LOW of a "low-profile" it is... On Front Runner, they seem to have raised it mainly so they could sell a $400 metal table (!) that mounts under it and collects dirt mud (I added the dirt/mud part...but think about it... That'll be one DIRTY table on any dirt trip). But anyway... Good point about TOO low a profile re access, etc.

Sand Ladders can be mounted on the underside of the Front Runner rack as well.

Another good point.

Uncle! (AKA, I give up...I think you've convinced me). ;)

The Gamiviti seems like a good compromise. It doesn't sit right on the surface, but remains lower profile by not having side rails that go up. In fact, the floor seems about the same height over the roof as my bajarack, excepts that my side rails go up, preventing me from fitting in parking garages, or anywhere else confined. Nice find!

You can run the Gamiviti basket up or down. Running it up obviously adds several inches of height. I went with mine down because I wanted a completely flat surface for Home Despot runs and for a future RTT, but mainly because anything over 6'8" severely limits parking options when we're downtown.

I also have a Prinsu (on a 2013 LX) and it has a James Baroud Grand Raid XXL on it. I need a bigger air dam in the front to quiet it down more but it is quiet compared to my old set up (100 Series, African Outback full rack and a Maggiolina rooftop tent).

I really the low low profile and simple install on the prinsu. I just remove the cross bars that the rooftop tent is attached to. 4 torq screws and the roof top tent is off. I store the tent on top of saw horses.

Nice! You got any pics?

This is a good idea - do I understand this correctly - you leave two of the Prinsu cross bars permanently attached to the tent and then slide the whole thing on, attach 4 torq screws per side and your ready to go? That sounds like a really quick/good way to attach the tent to the rack!

I have been installing my ARB RTT to the yakima bars, a Prinsu rack should be on the way soon. Sliding the RTT on to the rack and bolting it from the bottom is a pain! My RTT hangs from the garage ceiling when not in use.

Yeah exactly it.
