Well got back from sept long and found out a buddies brother rolled his truck down a steep washout. I had to work all weekend, but a couple other buddies were out there all day when I got a call as I was heading back into town that they needed some help/expertise/and more rescue equipment. So I jumped into my cruiser when I got home, and drove out to the site to see this. (first pic) Adam had been winching and blew his battery terminal cause it was too hot and they needed another snatch block to hook up a second winch as it was getting real steep and looked like his rear axle was hung up a bit. Anyway luck I had a spare terminal and we were back in business (plus a snatch block, a couple straps, and a chain). The dual winching continued after pulling down two trees, we finally got him up onto the road, righted and then had to drive ourselves across(after they had already spent most of the day breaking the trail to come in from the east side and shoveled out enough to get our trucks across to turn around.
Enjoy the pics

stuff was pure clay and real slick, the MTs on his truck, non aired down didn't stand a chance on this stuff, no wonder he slipped off, but instead of telling his GF to get out and keep going, he should have got out, shoveled, jacked his truck back on the road and backed out, but nooooo;)

This was just a quad trail around the wash out, this is where Full size trucks definately have a big disadvantage while wheeling, cause I had no problems crossing with like a foot to spare.

Good job getting him out. Not too many decent trees to snatch off of.

The truck doesn't look that badly maimed. I'd think with all the ford guys there they'de find him a replacement front clip.

Yeah he can fix it up, but it will cost him a bit. But it will never be the prestine truck it used to be.

Thank goodness he wasn't hurt! It could've been way worse. Isn't he fortunate that his big bro is a mechanic at Ford??? Good job getting him out of there.

Is that Chris' brother? I didn't think I saw his bronco in the pics, but I guess that could be it hiding in the back of the first.... It's treating him well?

Yeah Chris' bronco is the big gray one in the first pic. Treating him well.
