Any body know where they are made? I am in the market and like the looks and they get good reviews. Also the price is decent and comparable with other (hard shell) tents.
I cannot find on their website where they are manufactured though-any one knows?
Autohome and James Baroud both manufacture in Europe. Any chance Rocky Mountain makes them in Canada or the US?
Thanks,
Jan

I looked at those tents, but bright orange is too much for me. Not seen one in real life.
I have a Maggiolina which I was lucky enough to buy used. I've been in several different brands, and was only interested
in the hard shell vertical wall tents. The quality of the Maggiolina is best of them all to me. I can't recommend
any others if looking at quality alone.

Here is a start up, and they look like a well designed with a different style option. They look quite good.

They are manufactured in China. Most likely in the same factory then ARB, Tepui and others. The quality on mine is excellent but I need more time to put a full long term review together. I have seen the hard shell tents and they look great. You can remove the walls and the mattress in the winter to use it as a big ass ski box.

Looks to be typical Chinese made. My CVT, although sold locally (Bend, OR) was built in China. My CVT was bought in 2012 and the newer RTTs seem to have some new features (for Chinese made) - built in lights and storage nets - but I still like mine. Prices on the Rocky Mountain seem high, but hard shells are more pricey. Looking at the iKamper tents in cruiserpilot's post have some interesting new (to me) features...such as the expandable hard shell. I agree with him that the Maggie's are best quality - at least from what I've seen. And if you're getting the crank up or vertical wall hard shell, you don't want anything but the highest quality mechanism. However, the more features you add - the longer set up and take down times become - and the less bedding you can store in the tent. Some are worth the extra time, though, it all depends on what you want and are willing to live with.
