There is no way I would spend $600 on sliders. And I can barely imagine why some sliders would be near $800!!! (Not to mention shipping...) Ya, of those mentioned, some look real nice and maybe have some nice laser-cut adds incorporated into them, but you could easily find a local metal fab shop in most areas that could build you just as nice a product for much less. A fab shop doesn't need to know didly-squat about cruisers to build sliders...sliders are pretty much a no-brainer. And who the hell cares if it's powder coated--that s***'s just gonna scrape right off the second it is put into use.
I'm not trying to rip or pimp anyones s***, I just don't see why anyone would pay that much for something that is so easy to make. And whoever said time is money, they're definitely right. I spent two days (off of work) getting the sliders and fender bars positioned correctly, welded to the frame and painted -- so my recommendation is that if you get the ones that I got, either have some kick ass tools to work with or kick ass bros to help you (and heat so you aren't freezin' your ass off while you're workin'), or get bolt on ones, or drive your truck down to the shop and have them put them on for you.
Anyway, there's my 2 cents.
