G'day Toshi, I think you a correct and that applies to most other Australian states though not here in WA. It seems that our isolation coupled with our relatively low population has kept us a good five to tens years behind the rest of the country. I'm sure it will change in the future but so far that I am aware (at the moment) we do not need an engineering plate for welding on the chassis here in Western Australia.

Nice! ... that was definitely something I found very annoying/surprising about Aus ... even if it didn't end up affecting me and my crappy Holden.

Great looking cruiser..

I truly believe with a bit of work you would unbolt parts for good reason.. when you need access or just plain bend a part and want to replace it..
 
Finally got everything welded and off to the blasters, ready for surface treatment. Going for Satin Black.
