Hello all, My truck is an 88 4runner 22RE 5spd named Jubei
I also have a 85 4runner and a 79Fj40. I wont be able to do this all at once but I will get started and then elaborate as I get time. here are most of the specs I have done all the work on this truck myself and I have built most of my own accessories. I even repaired the rust and body before repainting it recently. This is my DD and it sees a lot of miles on and off the trail. It has about 285k on it now and I add another 1.5k a month. I take this truck out on the trails of utah about once a month maybe more and it hauls all my gear with little complaint. I have had this truck for a little over 5 years and it was stock when I got it. I love to rally this truck on all sorts of trails as it is good all around not real aggressive but still smooth on the freeway

More pics showing the rear bumper/tire carrier with the spare parts tray under the aux fuel tank. The tray holds a complete tie rod relay rod steering setup as well as an idler arm and a front cv axle with a hub. And the interior with the built in locking storage boxes this saves space that would otherwise be wasted and gives me a little peace of mind knowing I can lock my stuff up when the top is off.

I will get some more pics of the interior diamond plate panels when I get a chance. There are 4 boxes on the right side and 3 boxes on the left along with the 10" sub which is built in to the panel between the roll bar. Now I dont have those factory panels making all that noise cause they never seem to fit tight and the plastic is weak.
As for the tray, I agree it looks ghetto fab for sure but I have the tire crank that hangs down from the aux tank and plenty of space. plus I would rather not have to load and unload those akward spares inside all the time. the trays are a thick plastic and I have them wired together with a wheel center in the middle so they sit centered I have a ratchet strap holding it in place just in case though its more like carrying a spare tie down strap cause its not necessary. It doesn't sit that low so I've never had it hit any rocks that I know of in the year that its been there though I've never had any problems with it either and it doesn't make any noise like rattles and it has definitely been rallied since. I probably don't need all those spares but I'd rather have it and not need it so until I find a better way it stays for sure and it cost me nothing but a few minutes.
Heres also a pic of my front flex its not much compared to a solid axle but its close to the max my CVs will allow.

Here is another cheap anti theft bit I did. It locks the shifters in reverse and limits the amount of steering. If nothing else it may discourage someone from trying to steal it. I know its not fool proof but again its better than nothing and on the cheap.

Hey, cool post I have some pics of your rig from Moab, the run down south. Great truck, pm your email address and I'll send them to ya. Justin

great truck man x2 on more pics of the the dimond plate looks awsome

Looks great! You had me at the first photo, with that ho-hum, average SE Utah in the background!
I've been thinking of doing similar surgery on the interior of my '88. Those plastic panels are :censor:.
Can we see a picture of the inside with the top off?

Is all that extra suspension travel just from the sway bar disconnect?

I don't have any pics of the interior with the top off and I dont want to take the top off cause its way cold outside. I did seal all the seams with seam sealer to keep the water out when I have the top off to keep the water out.

The suspension travel is an accumulation of all the suspension mods listed. The ball joint spacers made a big difference though. in that picture it is not maxed out either.

Sweet rig dude. Nice custom work.
