Hey gang,

After some well wishes to Gino, we agreed that I could take over the group buy. I'd like to get the order in by the end of January at the latest. I'm hoping after Gino's successful surgery and the start of his recovery he'll be able to commit to being part of it by that time. Let's see if we can get to at least 10 committed buyers for the added discount.

Instructions provided by Gino in the first post are still good. Just email me at jasonalanfrench at gmail.com with everything and I'll share the spreadsheet.

Thanks,
Jason

Update:

I won't be able to make contact with the Rhino people until after January 7 when their holiday is over so the following is based on the original quote Gino obtained. 5% off for 5 bumpers, 10% off for 10

pre-2016 $2472 aud, currently $1726 usd.
5% discount: ~$1640
10% discount: ~$1550

2016+ is $2718 aud, currently $1897 usd.
5% discount: ~$1800
10% discount: ~$1700

Freight is $2500 usd but I'm not sure if that's the same whether it's 5 or 10 bumpers. Hopefully it wouldn't change based on number of bumpers so if we get 10 orders we'd add $250/person to the price. We'll then have to figure out how to get these all over the US once they've arrived.

If you've emailed Gino or me with interest, please send an email update to me with your Mud handle so I can keep things straight between interest in this thread and those who've emailed.

Thanks and let's get to 10 buyers!

I'll update again when I have an accurate count between thread interest and emails received w/ Mud handles but I believe we have 7 buyers currently.

Happy Holidays!

@mcgaskins Any chance you can get your friend to do a write up/video on how to fit this to the LX? I'd be very interested in this group buy if you could. Thanks!

Trust me when I say unless you are a skilled metal worker with access to all kinds of metal working tools and lots of time to kill you do not want to attempt what my buddy did to get one on his LX. It would almost be easier to custom make a bumper than to retrofit like he did. I also know for a fact he didn’t document the process because there were so many steps (mount, mark, remove, weld, cut, remount, mark, remove, weld, cut, grind, hammer, weld, cut, over and over), so I would strongly advise against trying to put one on an LX.

I am thinking about this 🧐just dam timing with 1st of the year finances.......

Do you have an idea of when these would land in the US? What is the plan/cost to get them distributed once they land?
Unfortunately, I have no idea whatsoever. Gino was working with Rhino and by the time I took over they were already on holiday break down under. It is unclear to me based on the emails I have whether there was something in the works to get these distributed across the US, but I suspect we'll be on our own managing that. I currently have no plan nor idea of cost. I don't know the dimensions of the boxes nor their weight so cannot even make an educated guess. I'm out of the country on vacation through January 8 but will contact Rhino as soon as I'm back. They're back from holiday on January 7.

We have plenty of space in my parents warehouse/at my job, as well as pretty good freight shipping rates. I can consider asking them to see if I can borrow some storage space/serve as a hub for you guys on the east coast. I just ask that if we consider that route that you guys make plans ahead of time so that they don’t take up space for more than a month.

Anyone by RDU airport in NC can visit me any time and I’ll give you a tour.

We also have cameras all over so everything will be well documented/handled once it reaches our loading docks.

We’re on everyone. Looks like we’ll have over 10 and more should not mess with logistics. I’ll be back in the US tomorrow and provide some updates by Thursday or Friday. I’ll make sure I’ve returned emails to everyone and shared the spreadsheet. For those who want the bull bar, camera relocation kit is required for an additional $50ish I believe.

Thanks Jason. As I understand it, camera relo is needed if you do the light bar mount.
