No it does not. i think because the relay switch is open (meaning off)

ok, I am confused on your diagram. Where you have "factory reverse lights" is that the factory reverse switch giving hot feed when there is power present (when you are in reverse)?

I read that totally different at first. Assuming the above, that makes total sense now, and you are only using one switch.... Nice.

I also like that the relay is only operating when the car is in reverse.
