Resonance in the steering wheel of my new 2014 LC

I'm looking at getting the Breitling Emergency watch. It does more than one thing that no iPhone can do :)

Is that the one with a satellite beacon?

Yes it is. I do a lot of backcountry hiking and travellig with the family adds a nice insurance if something were to happen and cell phone is not available.

I will test my 14' for any kind of vibration through rpm ranges from 500-4000rpm this morning and I use 87oct.. I have not noticed anything out of place as of my last time driving it. Will report back by noon MST.

Update- I travelled 23miles and could not replicant any kind vibration or abnormal feedback in any rpm all the way up to 6500rpm. All I felt was normal feedback from road imperfections and it was very slight. I have never owned anything but sports cars and "truck feeling" SUVs. Even my Merc ML is a ML63 that has a stiffer suspension. So I'm used to the "road feel" and love it. However, if you're feeling any kind of vibration, rattle type sensation or anything else that seems foreign in feel, get it looked at right away. If you can, try to find another LC like yours and test drive it. Good luck and keep us updated.

Ya, I've looked into stand-alone devices for the same thing, which are much more affordable/capable from what I'm reading. I guess the cool thing about the watch is that you'd always have it on your arm...but I suspect these stand-alone devices carry more juice for continued transmissions.

On the other hand...the watch would be with you for all activity, which could have good application in weird circumstances such as when I was on my own in Afghanistan... Might help me keep my head in place, should bad things happen over there next time.

REI has some good, basic info here:

I will likely pick up one of the Delorme units eventually, as I have a tendency to venture into the boonies alone.

You hit it on the head, I will always have it around my wrist which makes it invaluable and the built-in beacon "antenna" is very robust as it's built inside the watch and less chance of breaking as well. My wife immediately asked how much the watch is "knowing my taste in watches" and I replied "what's my life and our families worth". Haha, I win. Lol

That watch ain't for the tiny wristed but it's way more macho than an Apple Watch (and it comes in a pelican case so there's that)...

FYI on this, after about 1 month of driving and verification...

Pulled my factory boards/steps, and....resonance is gone.

No changes made other than deleting the boards.

I have a '17 LC with 1100 miles on it. Get the same "slight" vibration/buzz around 2000 rpm. Reviving this old thread to see if others are still experiencing and if any new (i.e. new '16/'17 LC's and new to LC's) owners are experiencing. Did read link on TSB's on this topic so might investigate further if for some reason issue gets worse, which for now does not seem to be the case. Will also tell Toyota dealership at 5k service to see what they think.

Although I do have aftermarket tires and wheels I did feel with original set.

Interesting.

I have a new to me 2008 with 169K miles. It drives like a dream however I get a little coarse feeling through the accelerator around 1800RPM.

Maybe a running board delete is necessary...

Anyone else fixed the issue?

Hi there,

I have a 2015 LC with 100,000km and just noticed the steering wheel buzz as mentioned in these posts. Mine is a 4.6L engine. Has anyone came up with a solution?
