Repairing rust below "A" pillar

Looks like this. Involves the body mount area. Repair or replace whole cowl. The vent panels are also rusted

You can replace the kick vent panel and that will expose that area to repair the rust at the same time.

There is reinforcing there too. Don’t forget it as it’s not pictured and yours is likely disintegrated.

And unfortunately, the extent of the rust will probably be worse than what you can see now. That’s the issue with Toyota sandwiching multiple sheets of metal together

Both sides of my floors were like that. Ended up replacing inner/outer rockers, floor and toe boards. Not to mention the rear quarters, sill and wheel well tops. Probably would have made more sense to just get a new tub.

I picked up a cowl with no rust down there. SN is only 900 older than mine. Now to cut and weld
