Removing the flange on rear differential

I’ve got the staked nut off, washer removed. How to I get the flange off? Just a hammer, or am I missing something else?

What should that flange look like when it’s removed?

Tap it out with a hammer. Probably "welded" on with old grease, oil, and dirt.

Edit to add: it is just one piece.

The dust shield can be popped off after it is removed but it should come off looking like this.

If it doesn't want to just slide off then a 3 finger gear puller should do the trick.
