removal of rear lateral control rod

Hi,

Want to take this rod out to do the bushings. However, on the side where it is attached to, the bolt goes into a nut that sits in a sort of console with only a number of small round holes (too small to fit a wrench of that size through). Is that nut welded or something. Cannot really see from under the car. The FSM doesn't show the nut. Thanks.

I removed mine fairly easily, I don't remember there being any issues though. There's tons of videos online

the upper one has a welded bolt and the lower one screws into the axle

Tried turning the bolt and seeing if the nut is captive or not?

For those that need the information: it is captive nut.
