I wanted to let you guys know that I have accepted a promotional opportunity with Hilton Worldwide and will be relocating to the McLean, VA headquarters in October of this year.

This was a very difficult decision for Randi and I and we spent the last several weeks heavily contemplating the opportunity, the move, and the impact both will have.

The hardest part was facing the fact that we will be leaving an incredible network of friends that have truly made our time in Memphis incredible. You guys have been a constant source of friendship, encouragement, fun, and assistance. Especially with the challenges we had last year (my broken femurs) and the way all of our friends were there for us in our time of need.

We are going to be extremely sad to leave, but with the change comes some new opportunities. We are looking forward to relocating to the Northern Virginia area and of course, we will have room for visitors...in fact we will have plenty of room for visitors. So, if you plan on coming to our Nation's capital, please let us know...Randi and I will be glad to have you stay with us. We are going to be in Fairfax, VA and only minutes away from the Metro.

I want to thank all of you in this tight community for being our friends, spotters, vehicle technician, traveling companions, and off-road partners and I hope to be able to continue our friendships into the future.

I will try my best to make the SCC every year and I hope you guys will be able to make some events in the Virginia area. I am looking forward to hanging out with the Virginia Land Cruiser crowd but, I know there will never he a duplication of the "real move".

Thanks again for everything and please keep Randi and I in your prayers and thoughts as we make this move.

Sincerely,

Mark and Randi

Mark it was so good to get to wheel and hang out with you and Randi.
I hate that I never got to see the M5 I have heard so much about.
Good luck with the move. Send us all some deals on hotels! We will miss you.

See you on the trails!

Thanks Chris, I'll do what I can on the hotels...but, if you come to D.C. you can stay for free at Hotel Farage.

The M5 is actually at Joe Stewart Body Shop right now...when she is finished I will take some pictures and send them to you. Heck, I may need someone to drive it to D.C. for me...because I doubt it is going to be finished before we move.

Mark,

Anna and I are sad to see you and Randi go, but we're grateful for the short time we've had getting to know you. Thanks for welcoming us to a new and crazy town!

I'll give you a shout sometime soon.

The loss is ours and we are going to miss you and Randi. I was really looking forward to more expo type trips like the one we made. Guess we'll have to find somewhere our East to do it. Best of luck in your new position and let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Miss y'all already!:frown:

Admit it....you are having to do a HQ tour at Langley. We all have to do a DC tour in intel.....mine was only a year at DIA :D

Get it son, that is a happening spot. Love it for you guys. Any upward opportunity is a great one!

Mark,

Congrats on the new job. Best wishes for you and Randi. You can move away, but I'm guessing you'll still be lurking in the CLC section.

Ha! Good luck mark and randi ! we will always have a place for you guys to stay and a seat to ride with us!
Rob is from virginia and can tell you more about it if your intel is not satisfactory ; )

Hope to see you guys at the crawl !

DANG! Sorry you're moving farther away! But this just means you will now make GSMTR with the Virginia folk!

We wish you and Randi all the best in VA with the new job. We expect poser shots of all your Toys in front of DC monuments. Be sure to lift at least one tire.

Look forward to seeing you guys in six short weeks.

Thanks guys/gals we will will miss all of you. The great thing is that I am moving closer to my family for the first time since I went to college. My parents currently live in Fairfax and my brother is in the district, so that will be kind of cool being close to everyone.

I will definitely be trying out GSMTR and I will be making the trip down to SCC every year...or at least I will give it a 110% effort to do so.

Hate to see yall leave but then again congradulations on the new job. There is plenty of places to ride out there I know because I grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. As far as wheeling goes you have GW National Forest, Mud boggs at Dinwitty, you can drive to the Outer Banks in Carolina for some beach wheeling, etc. If you ever make it out o the Hilton in VA Beach let me know. I know a lot of people out there and I'll get you to take the tour of the 50 or so bars on the strip. Next time I head east it looks like we will have another stop.

Oh yea, the M5 cruising on skyline drive through the hairpin turns will be awsome. Enjoy yourself out there and keep in touch.
