BTW, has anyone researched what the hump is for? IIRC there isn't anything in that area under the floor on the driver's side. Perhaps the hump in question could be flattened?(sounds extreme I know, but I fit 38s on a mini-truck w/ a 3lbs sledge and a sawzall, so you have to keep in mind where my thinking is :flipoff2: :D )

I've made a list of everyone who has posted an interest in the mod and the count comes to about 20. I received 11 sets. I called and asked about more and he asked me to try locally this time as this first batch was sort of a favor to me as wee work together.

So what I've decided to do is contact those who showed interest in them in the order in which I recieved mail, saw their post to disperse the first 11. In the mean time I'll try and get a local shop to give me a quote for milling them locally.

I'll keep everyone informed as things progress as to when these first 11 sets are spoken for and then the final cost of another run of them.

I appologize for all this confusion as I'm not really adept as this stuff.

Rick,

Let me know if you have cancelations. I didn't see this thread until this afternoon.

No cutting -B- I'm way ahead of you in the cue. ;)

BTW Rick...does a "set" represent the gizmos for two front seats, or just one?

Good question. I only need driver's seat.

Based on pics I've seen, I'd guess that a set is a pair of brackets for 1 seat.

If so, then 11 sets may not go far... :crap:

Well, since I'm SOL, can you provide us loosers with the specs for them in case we want to fab up our own?

Thanks Rick. Please put me on the list for the new parts.

I picked up the hardware and the shipping boxes today so they will start going out as soon as tomorrow to those who have already paypalled me.

I'll be working up a proceedure document this weekend and e-mailing it out, hopefully.

Please respond to my PMs if received, whether you are or are not interested or maybe need more time. I'm just trying to get through this so those who want these but won't get a chance this time to get them I can help them out as soon as possible.

Rick: I've got a local machinist who has done a LOT of oddball and small run items for me....drinking  with him tonite...er....meeting to discuss 6061 SM465/SM420 plate adapters with him tonite...I can put you two in touch if you want more quoting on these parts.

another trick....USPS priority mail envelopes and a little bubble wrap put you in the $3.85 range regardless of weight...tack on $0.45 for delivery confirmation, and it's a quick/cheap way to get stuff out and save some $$. (amazingly, the USPS guy got me on this for shipping the 10# alum adapters....)

Please do, I have a full set of drawings I can mail him. I'll check out the ups store this weekend, thanks for the tip.

Count me in for the DS and PS.

Let me know when you have another batch, I would like one for the driver side for sure... 6'5" all legs and 80 seating don't mix well together.
