Those apron mounted front turn signals where only on the first 12,000 or so Pigs ever made. Could be a '68 or an early '69.

Back in the day, build date and sell date and registration date weren't so important and weird things happened. You could call yours a '68 and no-one could argue. You could call it a '69, same thing. But those front apron turn signals were only on the first 12,000 piggies made. You could claim it came with the first boatload of Pigs to these shores and we couldn't argue that. Your choice.
But the chrome grill is mid '70s.

Chris, thanks for the reply.........can you please show pix of the brake booster install?; having problems trying to adapt one to my 69 with a 2F engine project; TIA

It's titled as a '69 so I'll stick with that for simplicity sake. It's one of the early ones and I'm cool with that, first year or not. I know the grill isn't right but either is the frame, firewall, motor and interior. This won't be a resto under my ownership.

Sure Lou, happy to but probably won't get to it until tomorrow.

Does this help Lou? Let me know if you need a different angle or anything else.

Chris..........:steer:you do have a dual circuit so the original single circuit must have been upgraded to a dual circuit+booster; and the chevy 350 does not interfere with the brake booster and MC :) nice set up:clap:

The PO gets credit for the swap. The booster has to be loosened to get the clutch master off, it's that close. Considering the SBC would a picture of the carb and brake master be of any help?

Chris; was thinking that pix would not be of help now; was wondering what booster is installed?, tight but looks very good and might be the best route to go with mine; do you have the 69s brake and clutch pedals?
Lou

I'm pretty sure it's a 40 series booster but not 100% sure. I have no idea regarding the pedals but suspect they may be 77 since my firewall seems to be from that year.

Still learning what part came from what year.

Booster

Great looking rig! Have you had it out wheeling much yet? If so lets see some action pics.

I looked through your build thread and in post #8 RLMS said that the booster was from a Toy pick up and the master was from a Celica.Maybe this will help Lou getting something to fit.

Haven't had it wheeling at all yet. Saturday is scheduled for an ARB in the rear and a shake-down run on Sunday. Presuming everything goes as planned, which rarely happens, I'll have some wheeling pics.

Thanks for noticing that, I'd forgotten. RMLS replaced the booster with one he had lying around so the Toyota pickup is a good bet. The Celica master was bad and was replaced with one we pulled from his FJ40. The Celica and 40 masters are virtually the same, as I recall the only difference was in the line connection.

hmmm...guess my next move is to go to the Birmingham pick and pull.......about 130 miles round trip:frown:..thanks guys for all the help in keeping this project going,!
