Awesome work on the seats, those look like new.

Nice thread. You did good with the paint. If I posted my work on my own Pearl White LX470, you'd feel better!

:-) I’m sure it’s not that bad...

Nice Z32! I used to have a '93.

Thanks! Great cars! Are/were you on 300ZX forums? Enjoy it?!
ZX is the most awarded(automotive industry) and best (from car magazines, editors) sports car of the 90s... until Fast and furious was filmed and shaped a generations concept of enthusiast and ruined all the clean JDM cars by young guys (not a diss but it ruined great Asian sports cars making unbastardized/riced examples almost impossible to find reasonably). had first ZX in 87’ an 81’ 280ZX T, then a 90 2+2 & 91 TT in the mid 90s luv these.
You should get another to add to your fleet! It’ll look good going to shows being trailered by the 100...

I was on TT.net back in the day. I was also was a member of the San Diego Z32 club. My dad had a '76 280Z for about 17 years and that's what started it for me. My bestfriend also had a '91 when we were in high school. I moved over to a 911 (993) but have since sold it due to multiple kids and moving around the world several times.
I would like to get another Z, pontential a 240/60/80 or Z32TT in the future. Your's looks pristine!

Thanks it’s pretty clean to be honest... but I need to touch up some rock chips here and there this spring once I get a few extra coins to get it done right and clayed. Got some nice tasteful carbon interior pieces and custom leather/shortened gear shift it an auto box but has the HKS ALC tranny computer that makes it feel so much better and shifts quicker and without stall. It doesn’t matter to me because it’s a GT sports car to me at this point... my lil BMW 318ti MSport below is a 5spd that you toss and fun if the need to bang out(no pun intended) a few. But the Z is more than a great performer. A few tasteful bits to enhance an already great car.

I have a 76’ 260Z that’s a project that I’ve literally haven’t touched in 3 years! It’s was bought, cleaned, parked. She needs love... one day, one day.

Never owned a 911 which is my favorite Porsche along with the 928 GTS! Drove a 944 Turbo S for about a year(GREAT FUN), before my first Z32(no lie the Z is better overall and that’s proven). Brother has a super clean 968 now... modded but stock in appearance... sweet car!

Hey was your 911 very reliable as most Porsche tend to be? Of course still get the extended warranty LOL... I Bet you miss that growl... nothing sounds like a Porsche such a distinctive exhaust note. Love’em.

The spare tire carrier is rusted and the cable is in a bind. I’m about to Install used part I got from eBay. Now I cant find the freaking lowering tool/key end.! I just had it!!!!!!!!!

For kicks here’s the Magnaflow exhaust sound of my ZX

Nissan 300Z Magnaflow best exhaust no Flowmaster Borla

Let me backtrack and find this missing part

Went to the freaking DollarTree for cleaning supplies and when I arrived at the house the nozzle cap leaked from the BLEACH cleaner on my brand new floor mats and carpet!!!!!!! I called back and went to speak to management.

And of course at some dollar stores you get what you get with service but the young lady (asst manager) was pleasant but had no idea what to do. Ahe called the GM that instructed her to call another store to help her, who in turn had her call someone else because NO ONE SEEM to have claims/district numbers. Finally got it... then it took 20 minutes to find the forms, we had to do it twice because they didn’t have copy machine! I took a picture but wanted hard copy as well.

Then comes another little 19 or 20 yr old shift manager that tries to be a district attorney... questioning me kinda sarcastically. I nipped it in the bud.! “Young lady I’m tired and perturbed at this moment please go play somewhere else” :-/

Was contacted today, asked for an estimate. I have the mats receipt and I’ll get an estimate to remedy the carpet.

Spoke today with the GM and gave him the cost for my mats and the estimate to remedy the carpet. He is to email it to Corp/DM and hopefully get it resolved.

He also told me “we get a few leaking cases at least monthly that ruin our clothing” (I was like to myself... everything you say will be used against you in a court of law! Lol).

And this was after I told him that I was documenting/recording my visit with him. Honest guy.....

Hey..... My LX has been converted (found out it was actually 4 yrs ago) and the rear shocks are in need of changing(the rear bounces on dips/bumps). Should I go back with the oem LC shocks or you can recommend an good quality aftermarket shock that’ll provide me with a better than stock feel? Also I’m should I replace the springs...

I’ve read so many threads about it and there’s 15 different scenarios/choices.

I just want a Boulevard cruising/mall cruising & high chewing comfortable ride that’s not over the bouncy but not too firm either.
I was thinking about adding air bags to which our shock/spring I choose to get if that’ll help as most post say great things about them. Which brand do you all run?

I’m thinking the oem LC springs/shocks are good but y’all expertise will help me 100%. Trying not to go crazy with the cost by want nice.

Any input is appreciated.

Land cruiser springs and the Bilstein 4600s are a nice combo for the street

I fixed a broken rear abs/speed sensor. I spliced it and reattached with a quick solder to see if it works. At first the LX traction light came on and it shuddered for about 30 yards and I reset the battery again, idled it and drove it for 5 miles and the lights went of on the next start up! They have been off for 3 days & almost 400 miles now!

How is the noise after removing the resonator?
I took it to a shop and they said it will not make a difference at all but its hard to believe, the resonator is there for a reason.

At idle it’s a tad louder than stock with a nice rumble & under hard acceleration as well. At cruising speeds it sounds the same inside the cabin to me

SEMS DYE... color Ivory
Acrylic filler was A khaki color(any acrylic filler will do)
*also tried silicone recently on my rear tundra seat crack and it has held up for 2 weeks greatly and it may be my new filler..(read about using that here I’m thinking)...

Still cleaned, sanded, cleaned again, filled, scuffed lightly, and dyed.. and sealed if you like

Do you have a color match for the upper part of the doors? Interested in learning more about this. Nice!
