Will these bumpers work on a rig that had the crossmember removed for a 4x4 labs bumper?

This new bumper replaces the factory rear crossmember, so the removal of your crossmember is not an issue.
A thought to consider -
The 4x4 Labs install document calls for removing the back two captive mounting nuts (one per side).
We cannot speculate on any changes to the integrity of the factory 80 frame system with the deletion of these mounting points.

Will this new rear bumper require any cutting of the frame or anything that is not reversible? Any approximate dates on availability?

Yes the rear crossmember leaves the chat… welding would be required to reverse

Hopefully we see how it fits by replacing a certain someone’s 4x4 labs soon 😉

Also would like to say I have had a 4x4 labs for 12 years on my 80. Amazing bumper, does everything that an 80 owner could want but… this new BIO rear is next level and is an absolute tank. Fit and finish + the latches are spot on. The attachment points and functionality is greatly improved. Lastly it just looks amazing…. 100% can confirm I’ll be snagging one of these guys when the opportunity arrises

Our new rear bumper replaces the factory crossmember.

It also has some pretty impressive attributes:
  • Flare or no-flare options - custom built for your exact setup
  • Machined aluminum handles - a BIO exclusive, smooth, easy to open and close with one hand, every single time
  • TMR MEGA spindles - for up to 40" tires
  • Built-in tow rope storage pocket - quick access when you need it
  • Minimal tire wobble - precision-engineered fitment and tight tolerances
  • Perfect fit around the LRA 24-gallon tank - no compromises
  • Multiple mounting points - secure your gear with our custom Quick Fist mounts
We look forward to opening up for orders in late-spring.

Stay tuned for more updates!
