I recently bought this 87 Fj60 from Ohio and to get it registered in Ky I have to get a sheriffs inspection where they check all my turn signals. Unfortunate the PO installed a trailer light plug and hacked the rear wiring harness to pieces. There was jumper wires, missing plugs etc. and whenever you turned the turn signals on with the headlights the turn signals and brake lights would all blink fast so I wanted to go back to factory.
I’ve removed all the wires the PO had and tried hooking up the factory wires without a plug but if someone has a picture of the wires going in the male and female side of the blue rear harness plug so I can see what wires line up that would be a huge help. I’m missing the male 9 pin plug and only have the female coming from the front of the truck.
I’ve ordered the Hanes 1980-1996 repair manual hoping it had the picture of all the plugs but until it comes my cruiser is stuck in the garage.
I know you can’t tell much but here is what I have going to the passenger side tail light where the female blue 9-pin plug should be.
