ahhh, I see now I am very visual learner! Thanks

So, basically its a similar mechanism that operates the rest of the doors. (insert brain fart)

I thought that I fixed the window, but since driving the 55 today (other car unexpectedly went into the shop) the rear window seems to have wobbled and now raises unevenly from side-side as it goes up. I guess I really need to get in there and tighten things up and re-lube some of the parts as I'm sure they need it.

I'll get some pictures so you can tell if anything looks hosed up.

Is the rear window weatherstripping in the body? If not there is nothing to support or guide the window. The weatherstripping, if it is missing or in poor shape, is available from PV Cruisers in LA.

I couldn't tell you off hand, I have to go look at the tailgate. I'm going to dive into it this weekend and figure out exactly where I'm at and what needs attention.
I have been reading the threads on the weather stripping and I'm probably going to contact PV Cruiser, thanks for the tip.

PS - Check is in the mail for the window gear!

Well, So far I discovered that the lockout switch doesn't work, because the window still operates when the tailgate is open... Next step is to get in there and clean all the connections.

Either the lockout switch is broken or it's been rewired. I'd suspect that it's been rewired due to a broken switch. Do you have a wiring diagram?

Howdy! On mine, I rewired past the lockout switch since the plastic tab it pushes on was nearly gone. It also makes it much easier to wash the inside of the window! John

It also looks like the switch was painted over, which probably isn't helping the connection...

It's in your e-mail! I just scanned the portion pertaining to the power window. If you need more just ask.
