I assume most of you have seen the "fix" for liftgate struts in the FAQ. Well, basically you take out the spring, and put in a small gas charged strut from NAPA inside the old strut, and it looks stock, but works great.

Well, NAPA wants 80 bucks for the set, and I just found that MSC has the same identical struts for about $18 a set. I bought a set, installed them, and they work great.

I am getting ready to place an order with MSC (remember TAC has an account with them) -- if anyone else wants a set, let me know and I can add it to my order.

MSC number 00484089.. I got 60 lb units.

would love to order this part. Two of 'em. I' ve tried to order my local Auto Zone equivalent with no success... always just a bit too fat. What's MSC stand for? (sorry for the Newbee level question, here)

mscdirect.com. Go shopping on their website for stuff. If you are working on your cruiser, you can find any metalworking product, por15, safety stuff, tools, etc.

if you get an order of size (over a hundread or so) , we have an account set up for our group, TAC, pm me if you get there, and I can give you a salesman to call. He gives you about 20 - 40 percent off their listed prices.
