Rear heater?

So do you have the power rear wing windows? That is part of the third row package as well.

Is your truck out of the US originally?

And the truck was purchased new from a Chicago Toyota Dealer. In Chicago you'd think Rear Heat would be standard.

Okay, so front console "rear fan" button depressed.
Rear console "feet" selected.
Rear console temperature slider set to "hot"
and lastly rear fan speed set to "high"

Does that not get you rear heat blowing out from under the front seats, independent of the front console fan speed?

But he doesn't have the fan under the driver's seat. Fan in the back is overhead only.

I read that... but I want to know what happens when all the controls are selected in my post above. Does high heat blow out of the floor or... "silence"... as would be the case if there was no such rear blower.

Don't have any ducting under the front seats, only at the bottom of the center console.

I went out there and snapped a picture for you. Does your under drivers seat look the same? The main ducting is not visible, the heat comes out from UNDER the inside seat slider rail. There are vents at the bottom of the center console by the 2nd row feet that also blow air but not as much. Circle thing on left is the blower.

Mine definitely does not have rear heat, nor do I have a button up front for rear fan. Incidentally, I also do not have heated seats. When I first bought my 100, I went to register on Toyota.com as an owner, and it would not recognize my VIN. After digging for a long time, I found out that my 100 was originally ordered and delivered to Hawaii which is why it doesn't show up on on the Toyota.com registered owners area. I can only presume that is also why I don't have rear heat or heated seats.

Mine does have this but no hot air blows out of it. I just went out side and you need to select Rear on the dash to get air flowing out of the bottom vents of the center console. You need to select high from the roof selector if you want High airflow otherwise it defaults to low when you select Rear. The roof vents in the 3rd row only blow cold air.

So, by "this," you are saying you do have the blower and a high volume of air comes out front under the console but it just isn't hot? If this is the case, then I'd suspect you have all the parts, just something is wrong with the system?

I do believe this... and that LC100's that were originally bound for Hawaii were different. It is fabled they also didn't come with Navi. I've looked quite a bit at the '03+ and there are very few of them to begin with. All the ones I've came across were originally from the mainland.

This is always confusing for people. Hot air rises, so it is smart to have heat come from low and cold air to come from up above. If someone uses that rear system, they can either get cold air from above and hot air from below. The front button works well as an override when some has left the rear climate control on or when kids are messing with it.

One thing that has happened to us several times on trips...w have a cooler or something in the center behind the console. The kids turn on rear heat, since the cooler blocks the hot air, the center console area gets very hot and it seems like there is a problem with the car. .

Even though I technically have rear heat, its not the separate unit that sits under the drivers seat with the controls on the aft of the center Console.

I would think you could easily add this option to a not equipped truck but I was told by cruiserparts.net that it would require a lot of custom work to make this happen.

Looking at the ducting I could see this being an issue. Might need to install a small electrical heater somewhere in the third row with a swtich mounted up front for control.

If you have the blower, you likely have the separate heater core because they are one unit.
