here's some pics of the rear heater dissasembled--this is a :wrench: job.

Make sure you install the hoses lower towards the floor --if you flip the core over it will fit that way but the hoses are too high and interfere with the seat

Before I got my cruiser I had shoes

here's some more

This only took about an hour and a half or maybe 2. I used a 3m wheel took everything to how you see it now. just a little hand sanding to clean up the rest.

hmm.....looking at that, I wonder if you could change the fan blade to a squirrel cage type for more airflow?

Felt pad

Here's the felt pad. I used a little spray adhesive to stick it back on. There's one on top and bottom.

How's oy! going?

!Oy is coming along, still trying to work out the fuel line nightmare. Thanks for the pics of that pad, I'll make those out of old mouse pads an get them installed in mine.

good idea

yeah that'll work. I think a lot of houses still have felt seals in the door jambs ----who's to say where the missing piece went?;););)

I used the old squashed felt as a template to cut new ones out of closed cell foam. Kinda like what Mark was talking about. I imagine the main purpose of them is to keep vibrations to a minimum because the cores commonly leak at the tank ends.

Great thread!
