Rear heater controls?

On my 73 Pig, there are controls for the rear heater in the dash along with the main heater. I haven't ever driven my Pig, but I'm wondering, while I'm right there, if I should put in some manual controls for it? Do the regular controls in the dash work well? They seem like an early version of I-Drive.

Howdy! On my 76, there is only a rear heater fan switch on the dash. I never had anything that would divert the water flow seperate from the front heater. John
