Definitely take it to a trusted shop and have them measure the frame. They can reference the OE specs and tell you if its bent or not. They will then be able to pull and straighten it if it is out of whack.

I was rear ended a while back on a Monday morning by a guy going 55-60mph while texting (the silver Camry). Me and the WRX (he was behind me) were dead stopped at a red light.

My rear cross-member, rear driver's quarter panel and tailgate were the only things that were hurt (other than the OE bumper, which I replaced with a Slee). My frame was not bent thankfully.

I can definitely tell your panhard bar is bent.

More importantly though is while the truck is the focus here, make sure you treat yourself. I still have neck pain due to this accident and it impacts my mountain biking and other activities so stretching and massage are a daily focus now to relieve tightness.

You can sort of see here the rear cross member is pushed in on the driver's side.

Dead Camry, dead WRX.... LC needs a Band-Aid, drive it home. Love it. :)

Yea man, check out the motor oil that sprayed everywhere from that Camry. Poor thing, I love those cars. I actually drove all the way to work then my boss asked me why I was late, to which I explained. We then looked at each other for a second, then at the same time both asked why I was in the office lol.

Only thing I had to do was rip the driver's side flap off cause it was rubbing the tire. I actually still have the passenger side flap in great condition in my garage if anyone wants/needs it.

That bump above the exhaust pipe is normal as best as I can tell from my photos. The body mount you're talking about is just a sandwich mount to support the load there, it is supposed be slightly pre-loaded (in compression) all the time. I guess it is possible the frame behind the axle is tweaked up a little causing the sandwich mount to uncompress. I'm 100% sure the bent Panhard is causing the suspension to bind.

You guys are awesome, Thanks for the reply whitenoise..... this thread is helping me push forward and get her fixed. I am hoping we can continue to repair as planned with replacing this panhard bar to cure up the crunchy stiff noise I am getting when the rear end dips.

Have a good weekend, you all will be out wheelin' while I am staring at my smashed up rig =[

Good point, my neck is all screwy and it yeah riding bike and doing the s*** i enjoy is now compromised. Been in physical therapy for a few weeks but still stiff.

It is pretty crazy how tough these trucks are, even with other vehicles barreling into them they can still drive away.

Cross member and all of the obvious stuff is wrecked. I am afraid to even consider the frame being bent because the dirty rats at the insurance company are begging to get it totaled. Hope to just get her fixed and drive able, she is a nice rig, virtually no rust which is awesome for my area.

You can see how far she pushed me over the stop line in these shots, didn't even see it coming.

That doesn’t seem like a 70 MPH collision. Glad all are ok.

Maybe more like 50? IDK but it sure felt like 70.

Either way hoping to get the cruiser back to 100% . Turns out that panhard bar is contacting my rear diff and that is the crunching noise I am hearing. Have to limp it around until she gets fixed up
