I realized that there are a bunch of shorter rigs on the trail. Going on overnighters and longer trips
is an issue with cargo space, tires, tools, gear. I recently built a new rear bumper, and was quite happy with
the end result. I have a 3 can carrier for the long hauls but not sure if some of you realize I made it to
be removed as an 'option' platform. So look closely at #58 on the back of this guys FJ40. Rob - Rear sleeping idea? If that drawer was supported by the tailgate, extend the bed back instead of forward. Simple tarp overhead, and enough room for two!

Just get a 60 if you want to sleep in it :flipoff2:

that being said, the idea of using a 40 for camping is pretty sweet, could do something simple as getting a awning to pop up over the rear end when your doors are opened up and the bed is extended up.

now... the topic of keeping the bugs out arises...
