Rear camera relocation 5th gen 4r

Hey guys I've been told that this forum has a lot of knowledgable folks on it. So I thought I would ask you guys...

I've got a Shrockworks rear bumper coming for my 2012 4runner TE and it will block the rear camera. I was told by Outback proven that there is a plug in camera for the cruisers but he didnt know if it would work on the 4runner.

Do any of you know if it will work or if there is a clean alternative to this? I would like to use the stock operation of the camera in the stereo display.

I relocated the camera on our GX....

The rewire was a PIA, but it works and the wife is happy. It uses a shielded video cable that requires the shielded strands be reconnected to one of the grounds I believe. It was troublesome to work out at first and I'd have to re-look at all the wiring.

I have an aftermarket camera (Alpine) and drilled that puppy into the bumper below the spare tire carrier arm. Good clearance and well protected.
