Does anyone know where i could find the rear cab mounts for a 78 FJ45 truck? Any info will be very helpful thanks.

Thanks.
I didn't find anything on SOR, they are probably going to be hard to find since they are welded to the bottom of the cab but i can hope.

See Matt's 3000 miles in 3 days thread. I think he rebuilt his and there are lots of pics.

there are pics of the mounts in my build up thread. the link is in my sig.

Are you looking for the round rubber parts, or the whole metal part that is shaped liike and "X"?

I am replacing my whole cab floor with a new one and it has the new metal X's on it. So, I will have my old ones available, but I'm not sure if they are in any better condition than yours.

His pics showed the "X" ones being removed.

It's the steel "X" ones that i'm looking for i think the rubber mounts are the same as the 40's

You could build the X better than Toyota did without much effort. Just consider what the part needs to accomplish and go from there.

A piece of angle iron with a vertical tube welded alongside it that spans the cab diagonally from the back of the cab to the rocker panel, passing by the mounting hole will provide more support for the floor and the corners of the cab than the stock mount.

You could add the secondary laterals to make an X figure if you really felt it warranted the work, but IMO the diagonal bracing of the cab across the floor is the fundamental purpose of the factory bracket, and the secondary laterals are mostly there to back up the primary one because of using an inferior guage of metal to accomplish the task.

Out of curiosity, what is the height of the mount relative to the underside of the cab? Mine are so far gone that I have nothing left to measure by.

Cheers

Adam
