Plus the steel guards protecting the quarter panels are a great place to mount a bottle opener.
 
Woody, did you have to cut the frame as well for you 4x4 labs bumper? Do they offer a kit yet or do you have to buy all of the components seperately? Thanks
 
Looking at the Metal Tech for my truck. I like the look of the rear quarter panel protection.
 
From my understanding, yes, you lose the rear cross-member...

Frame cut = yes

Kit? I suppose you can do that, per his website. He's only done 2 so far, and I think he's still at the point where there is some fit work to the vehicle. It's not quite at the same point his 80 series bumpers are.

But I tell you -- this is one stout bumper. Not sure how much it weighs, but it has very little flex. You can lift the rear by the swingout arm.
