You plan on a tow package and quarter panel armor as well? My ears are perking up :D

Q:nc60. Well.....how is the bumper coming along?

slow, we have a SLEE spindle for a tire carries(highly recomend this spindle, talk about BEEF!!! it uses roller bearings and you can take it apart and service it.GREAT PRODUCT AS ALWAYS FROM SLEE!)
chris and i talked monday night on placement of the spindle.
i should have it ready to take to the RISING SUN RALLEY next weekend.
the inside of the bumper will be reinforced to handle the weight of the tire carrier with two jerry cans.

Q:spook,You plan on a tow package and quarter panel armor as well? My ears are perking up

NO TOW! sorry:frown:
you would have to cut the x-member to get on to mount up.
i cant honestly say i know enough about hitched to incorporate one into my bumpers.liability and all.

1/4 protection.
most definitly, but not in the bumper.
i'm working on "mini sliders" for the 1/4's
still in the works R&D is a little slow right now  (hey, thats me)

bandy, thanx

i've gotthe 2x4 junk on my 60
some of the first stuff i built (i hate it)

i should have an update by the first of next week

thanx
jim

update

did a bit of work on the bumper last night.
cut some pieces to cap the ends.
drilled the hole and did some figuring on the very sweet and stout SLEE spindle that is being used for the carrier. :D
also made some reinforcing for the spindle inside the bumper.
the spindle will be cut down and taperd to fit inside the bumper.

ENJOY! :)

Yeup,
I spent a bit of time there when I was playing in a band...played a couple of shows there!
One thing to be said about the west...there is some phenominal wheeling here...
not much in the way of 4x4'ing in the Chicago land area, though you could get some good flex shots up the stairs of some of the museums...art institute, field, science and industry:D
