rear brake pads....does it really matter?

I went to Napa. They didn't have anything with a lifetime warranty. So I just picked up some same old same old "premiums". I just didn't want to wear them thin and damage my rotors. They should be fine.

Reminds me, I need to get some squeal tabs. My rears were at 1 mm when Big O said they needed changed. The front one was metal to metal when Big O said one is metal to metal. Needed to get a new rotor too, the elcheapo pad still bedded in with no problem though.

I bought my 80 3 years ago and in that time have driven it approximately 6,000 miles.

Replaced front pads with the EBC green last month because there was very little left of the old pads. Checked rears for the first time a couple days ago and they still have a bit of life left. The interesting find is that the pads say "Toyota" on them. Can't possibly be original, right? (207K miles) Someone must have sourced OEM in the past. I don't have any service records for previous ownership.
